Here’s something most deals roundups won’t offer: a full review of the discounted product, written by the curator of the piece. But that’s what I’m giving you – because this is my full-time job (I know right? Crazy what they’ll pay people to do these days… ) and even if I do say so myself, I know great audio kit.
Whatever you do this Black Friday, please don’t read this missive, click through to Amazon, get sidetracked by savings and buy a set that neither myself nor the wider TechRadar team has mentioned or reviewed to date, because the discount was huge and you reckon they’re probably the same. Or, if you do, just don’t don’t come to me about it. Because these deals (and only these deals) are the ones I’ve reviewed, tested, and recommended to you.
Best early Black Friday deals
CMF Headphone Pro
These just came out – and I mean just, because I only just finished my fully star-rated CMF Headphone Pro review. And for this money (under £50!) they’re an insanely good deal. I don’t need to insult your intelligence by telling you it’s the first time they’ve ever been discounted (see the first sentence of this deal block) but I do need you to know that I’ve heard them and for this money, the ‘Energy slider’, the excellent on-ear volume wheel and Nothing’s phenomenal hearing tests (to create one of the most detailed personal sound profiles I’ve heard at the level) make this a top deal. Highly recommended.
Nothing Ear (a)
My five-star Nothing Ear (a) review is the place for the full scoop on the fun, energetic sound of these buds, but know that they have great noise cancellation, a compact design, and a truly eye-catching look – especially in my favourite yellow colour (also in the deal at the time of writing). This is a record-low price for them, and there are simply no better earbuds you can buy for under £60.
Sony WF-C710N
Yes, you can get Sony’s newest affordable wireless earbuds for less than £75 in Amazon’s early Black Friday sale – talk about a bargain! This is £5 cheaper than they were during the last big sales event (Amazon Big Deal Days) and for this money, you’re getting Sony quality for non-brand money.
Sony WH-1000XM5 Wireless Noise Cancelling Headphones
OK so not a 2025-release product (and they have been superseded by the excellent XM6 iteration) but if you’ve been eyeing up the Sony WH-1000XM5 but have been put off by the admittedly high price tag (I’ve listed their original RRP, although they’ve been hovering around £259 for a little while) today’s your lucky day. These premium headphones have just dropped below £200 and for that money, they’re an excellent buy
JLab JBuds Lux ANC
I helped compile a full review of these headphones and while they’re not sonically perfect (the sound is a little bass-heavy – but maybe you like that kind of presentation), for this ultra-low fee the audio is much better than it’s any right to be. Also, the build feels far more premium than the deal suggests and the battery life (at up to 70 hours, or 44 with ANC deployed) is unheard of for the level.
Apple EarPods Headphones with Lightning Connector
If you haven’t heard, wired headphones are all the rage, which is why Apple’s EarPods for $15.96 made it onto this gift guide. A slim, quality-looking design, clear sound, and comfortable fit are just a few of their best qualities. This model works with all devices that have a Lightning connector – which is iPhone 14 and before – so if you’ve got a newer iPhone you’ll instead want the USB-C version
JBL Tune 510BT
The JBL Tune 510BT are Amazon’s best-selling headphones and would make a great stocking stuffer at just $24.95. The headphones feature Wireless Bluetooth 5.0 Streaming, so you can stream music and podcasts and take calls from your device, and you’ll enjoy an impressive 40 hours of battery life. They also come with JBL’s renowned Pure Bass sound. If you need something inexpensive and you need it now, it’s hard to argue with this price tag…
Apple AirPods 4 with active noise cancellation
Amazon’s Black Friday sale also has the AirPods 4 with active noise cancellation for $148.99, which is the best price you can find right now. The AirPods 4 feature a new comfortable design, handy controls, and Apple’s H2 chip, which supports personalized spatial audio and voice isolation.
Apple AirPods 4
The AirPods 4 boast a new design, which Apple has refined with “50 million data points” to create the most comfortable AirPods ever. They also feature Apple’s H2 chip, which delivers clearer calls with Voice Isolation, and a new, hands-free way to interact with Siri. The AirPods 4 also have USB-C charging and include up to 30 hours of listening time.
Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds (Gen 2)
The big selling point behind the Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds (Gen 2) is its world-class noise cancellation – and you can now pick up these five-star earbuds for a record-low price. Quiet and Aware modes ensure you get to hear as much or as little of your surroundings as you want, while there’s Customtune technology, which analyzes your ears to provide the best sound quality. There’s also up to six hours of battery life on the buds with up to 24 hours via the charging case.
Bose QuietComfort Ultra
The Bose QuietComfort Ultra are the best wireless headphones for active noise cancellation, and they’re on sale for a record-low price at Amazon’s early Black Friday sale. Light and comfortable, they provide a bubble of silence combined with a sound quality that makes them a music lover’s dream. You also get spatial audio on any streaming service or source device thanks to Bose’s Immersive Audio mode.
Sony WH-1000XM5
Quite simply, the best in Sony’s class-leading wireless over-ear lineup. The older XM4 headphones were outstanding, the XM3 cans before it were excellent, and it’ll come as little surprise to know that Sony’s XM5 proposition is also incredibly hard to beat – especially with a whopping 25% off, equalling their lowest-ever price.
Beats Studio Buds True Wireless Noise Cancelling Earbuds
Good bass doesn’t have to mean big bucks. The Beats Studio Buds pack serious sound in a tiny case, with active noise cancelling that shuts out distractions and transparency mode that keeps you aware when you need it. You get up to eight hours on a single charge, 24 with the case, plus IPX4 water resistance for gym days or surprise rain. They pair easily with both Apple and Android, so there’s no tech drama here.
Soundcore P30i by Anker Noise Cancelling Earbuds
These Soundcore P30i by Anker earbuds are surprisingly good! It’s got 42dB of noise cancellation that legit feels like sorcery, paired with 10mm drivers and BassUp tech that makes you feel the rumble. Its two-in-one charging case doubles as a phone stand, because why not, and you get 45 hours of battery life, with a quick charge option. It’s got transparency mode, IP54 waterproofing, and four mics with AI, too.
