A young Bruce Wayne falls down a dry well in Gotham City and is attacked by a swarm of bats, acquiring a fear of them. While at the opera with his parents, Thomas and Martha, Bruce is terrified by performers dressed as bats and requests to leave. Outside, a mugger named Joe Chill murders Bruce’s parents in front of him, leaving Bruce orphaned and reared by the family butler, Alfred Pennyworth. Chill is released on parole fourteen years later after testifying against mob boss Carmine Falcone. To avenge his parents, Bruce plans to assassinate Chill, but one of Falcone’s assassins kills him first. Rachel Dawes, Bruce’s childhood friend, chastises him for operating outside the legal system. Bruce spends the next seven years traveling the globe training in combat and immersing himself in the criminal underworld after confronting Falcone, who informs him that true power comes from being feared.

He encounters Henri Ducard in a Bhutan prison, and he joins the League of Shadows, led by Ra’s al Ghul. After finishing his training, Bruce discovers that the League is aware of Gotham and plans to destroy it because it believes the city is beyond saving. Bruce rejects the League and its mandate that killing is essential, destroying their temple in the process. Ra’s is killed by falling debris, while Bruce rescues Ducard, who is unconscious. In order to combat crime, Bruce returns to Gotham and invests in his family’s business, Wayne Enterprises, which is being brought public by the unscrupulous William Earle. Bruce’s father’s friend, company archivist Lucius Fox, grants Bruce access to prototype defense technologies such as a protective bodysuit and a highly armored vehicle known as a Tumbler. Bruce pretends to be a shallow playboy, even to Rachel, while establishing a base in the caves beneath Wayne Manor and adopting the vigilante persona of “Batman,” inspired by his childhood fear, which he has now overcome. But you shouldn’t waste any more time and start this Batman Begins quiz. Intercepting a drug shipment, Batman gives proof against Falcone to Rachel, now a Gotham Assistant District Attorney, and enlists Sergeant James Gordon, one of Gotham’s few honest cops, to arrest him. Falcone encounters Dr. Jonathan Crane in prison, a corrupt psychologist with whom he has smuggled drugs into Gotham. Crane, disguised as a scarecrow, sprays Falcone with a fear-inducing hallucinogen, driving him insane and causing him to be moved to Arkham Asylum. While investigating his crimes, Batman is sprayed with the hallucinogen and set on fire by Crane, but he escapes and is saved by Alfred, who provides him with an antidote to the hallucinogen created by Fox. Crane admits to introducing his drug into Gotham’s water system after Rachel accuses him of corruption. Crane then drugs Rachel, but Batman subdues him and sprays him with his own chemical to question him, during which Crane claims to work for Ra’s al Ghul.

Batman eludes the cops in order to get Rachel to safety, administering the antidote and handing her two vials: one for Gordon and one for mass production. Ducard reappears at Bruce’s birthday party and shows himself to be the real Ra’s al Ghul; the dead Ra’s was a decoy. He plans to vaporize Gotham’s water supply, making Crane’s drug airborne and causing mass hysteria that will destroy the city, after stealing a powerful microwave emitter from Wayne Enterprises. He sets Wayne Manor on fire and abandons Bruce to perish, but Alfred saves him. Ra’s places the emitter onto Gotham’s monorail train in order to disperse the drug at the city’s main water supply. Batman saves Rachel from a drugged-up mob and exposes his identity to her in a roundabout way. As Gordon uses the Tumbler’s cannons to destroy a section of the track, Batman approaches Ra’s on the train and disables its controls. Refusing to save Ra’s once more, Batman flees the train and abandons him to perish as it crashes. Also, you will find out which character are you in this Batman Begins quiz. Bruce earns Rachel’s respect and love, but she determines she cannot be with him right now, telling him they can be together when Gotham no longer requires Batman. Bruce reveals he has bought a controlling stake in Wayne Enterprises, firing Earle and replacing him with Fox, and Batman becomes a public hero. Sergeant Gordon is elevated to Lieutenant, demonstrates the Bat-Signal to Batman, and informs him about a criminal who leaves behind Joker playing cards.[a] Batman pledges to investigate and then vanishes into the night.
