“Charlie’s Angels” is a visual treat for the visually impaired. In its three pretty little heads, played by Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore, and Lucy Liu, the film is devoid of any sort of intellectual substance. This film has become a dead zone in their lives, as well as mine.
What exactly is it? Is this a satire? What kind of evidence do you have? I’m assuming you’re talking about satires. It makes fun of movies that want to make fun of themselves by making fun of themselves. It’s a series of mindless action scenes starring only female characters. A large explosion lifts them off their feet, hurling them through the air and smashing them against windshields and other objects, but they manage to escape with only minor injuries to their makeup in the opening scene.
I’m curious as to why this is amusing. I’m devoting a lot of time to thinking. Someone must have been convinced that these explosions served a purpose because so much money and effort was poured into them, but I, for one, cannot see them as anything other than random acts of violence with no thought, no purpose, no humor, no excitement, and no entertainment.

The premise of the film will be familiar to anyone who has ever watched the original television series. Despite the fact that I had never seen the show, the plot was familiar to me. They decided to make this film when they were at the peak of their careers (Barrymore even produced it). They volunteered to do the work that people with less talent are forced to do.

Bill Murray is also a member of the cast, who prefers to go unnoticed in most of his films and chose the wrong one to abandon that practice. He is charming, cherubic, and loopy, as he always is, but the film provides him with nothing to push against. There’s a strange sense that he’s playing a game with himself. In this film, Sam Rockwell portrays a kidnapped millionaire, Tim Curry portrays a villain… need I go on? It is expected that several movies based on popular video games will be released in the coming months, including one about the video game “Tomb Raiders” and its digital babe, Lara Croft.
