“Hitman: Agent 47” is the kind of film that rubs its sloppy screenwriting, dull filmmaking, and boring characters in your face, almost daring you to ask the theater operator for your money back. This is the kind of film that is aggressively bad. It seems more like a contractual obligation than an artistic endeavor or even a remote desire to entertain was the driving force behind the production of this movie. It does nothing to either distinguish itself from the crowd of action movies or even to appeal to fans of the game series on which it is SO loosely based as to really insult its core audience. With the exception of a few slow-motion action sequences, it does nothing to either distinguish itself from the crowd of action movies or even to appeal to fans of the game series. It is important that you know that I have experience with the majority of the “Hitman” games. No one who was involved in the making of “Hitman: Agent 47” can say the same thing, at least not to my knowledge.

Editor’s Picks

The “Hitman” games emphasize strategy over raw firepower more than anything else. In order to successfully complete your contract, you will need to operate covertly, stay out of direct contact with the adversary, make do with a limited supply of ammunition, and frequently coordinate your actions with the surrounding environment. Yes, your character is a lethal killing machine, but he achieves this status more frequently through stealth and heightened abilities than through any sort of “Terminator”-inspired transformation. The video game iteration of Agent 47 has been wiped out before the credits roll, as Rupert Friend’s title character whirls and spins like Neo at the end of “The Matrix,” eliminating enemies who are unable to point and shoot their guns in a reasonable amount of time.
But you shouldn’t waste any more time and start this Hitman Agent 47 quiz.

Hitman Agent 47 Quiz

The enigmatic Diana (Angelababy), who acts as Agent 47’s handler, gives him his most recent mission in one of the few references to the game series that have been made. Katia van Dees, played by Hannah Ware, and her father, Dr. Litvenko, played by Ciaran Hinds, are the people he needs to locate. Dr. Litvenko was the one who developed the Agent program many years ago. Since Litvenko went missing, nefarious bad guys like Le Clerq (played by Thomas Kretschmann) have been attempting, but failing, to create their own genetically modified killing machines. They can’t bring back the program that Agent 47 is working so hard to deactivate for good without Litvenko’s help. And we quickly find out that Katia is not your typical daughter because she possesses a unique set of abilities all of her own. In the meantime, a man from the United States who goes by the name John Smith and is played by Zachary Quinto searches for Katie on his own. Is he a nice guy who can protect her, or is he really an adversary hiding in plain sight?

About the quiz

It makes no difference. It won’t matter to you. The movie “Hitman: Agent 47” is the epitome of an emotionless motion picture. It is designed to appeal to an international market with the absolute minimum amount of creative effort put into it to do so. As a result, it is completely devoid of any substance. Say what you will about the overall quality of the “Resident Evil” films, but at least some of the characters in those films had personality from time to time, which is something that is completely absent from every frame of this film. Just when you think “Agent 47” might get interesting — mostly in a couple fight scenes with Quinto, who at least seems like he’s the only one having a good time — director Alexsander Bach and writers Skip Woods and Michael Finch go back to the same slow-motion, dull action well again. There is not a single character that is interesting enough to care about, no performance that stands out, and no visual style that is particularly noteworthy. It hardly qualifies as a movie at all.
Also, you must try to play this Hitman Agent 47 quiz.

It can be challenging for a director to create a film about a cold-blooded killing machine, and Bach borrows heavily from “The Terminator” series in order to accomplish this. Even though it’s hard to get emotionally invested in Agent 47, that was the area in which the filmmaking had to improve in order to make the whole endeavor worthwhile. Create a few engaging set pieces for the action sequences. Add some pizzazz and a sense of style to the project so that it can compete with the quality of video games. The video games on which this movie is based definitely have more personality and artistic merit than the movie itself. Instead of going to see “Hitman: Agent 47,” you would be better off paying someone to watch them play for the full 96 minutes.
