Stunning colors, ingenious and aesthetically pleasing design of the various realms, and fluid, graceful movement characterize this work of art. This panda is not a panderer; there are few, if any, nudging pop-culture references that will elicit laughter from well-informed adults in this film. In this brisk comedy, the message is “Be the best version of yourself that you can be,” and the writers Jonathan Aibel and Glenn Berger, as well as directors Alessandro Carloni and Jennifer Yuh, follow their own advice throughout the film.
