The American Gangster’s epic picture, The Godfather, was made available in 1972 and adapted from Mario Puzo’s 1969 best-selling novel. The eldest son of Vito, Sonny (James Caan), is shot down. And events of violence reach Michael in an attempt to assassinate his Sicilian wife. Michael goes back home and marries Kay, while Vito makes peace with the families of the rivals. Michael inherits his dad as a donation and undertakes a crusade to systematically kill all the persons who had ever attacked the Corleone after having brought prosperity to the family.

In Los Angeles, Tom Hagen informs Woltz that Hagen’s anonymous customer will help him with his union troubles provided he casts Johnny Fontane at the forefront.
