Outlander’s first set of novels combining historic fiction and romantic story with elements of magic and science fiction addresses the subjects of love, loyalty, gender, and power by the story of a young lady who unintentionally passed through the 1740s. The story begins in 1945 with her husband, Frank, who is the protagonist, Claire Randall, in Scotland. As a consequence, before you move to a new home in Oxford, where you plan to settle down and establish a family, your vacation is their second sunrise. This strategy is however interrupted if Claire touches some pagan pillars and loses consciousness.
When Claire comes to observe folks speaking traditional Gaelic in the kilts and afterward a man dressed in an antique military uniform that looks like her husband. He announces himself as Captain Jonathon Randall when she approaches him.
Claire tries to escape away from him, but he picks her up and threatens her sexually. Although she is a captive, Claire employs her current talents as a nurse to treat Jamie, a lovely young man with a severely damaged shoulder. Claire accepts more and more that she actually has journeyed in time as she goes to the base of the Highlanders. When they get there, she’s helping Jamie with her wounds, and she discovers the scars of a wild fly on her back.

First, Jonathan Randall, who is the ancestor of Frank, attacks Claire. He’s a rough Captain and he’s trying to force on her. As Jonathan Randall’s savior, Jamie Fraser enters the picture. His uncles, Colum and Dougal, take Claire carefully with him. One of their deadly foes, Jonathan Randall, but held the title of captain. As the plot unfolds, because of her accent and attire, Claire is regarded as a kind of English traitor. But Colum discreetly brings her to Leoch Castle and attempts her to speak. Claire is consumed by the ideas of fleeing and returning to the stones so that she might return to her own time and Frank. Events are unfolding which prevent her from returning. Jamie is a wanted man for a crime he did not commit, a price on his head. It turns out that Jonathan Randall was indeed responsible for the crime. Due to these atrocities, Jamie is running and because of her attitude and manner from 1900, Claire doesn’t help things. She offends him, leading to a deep loathing for her and to his jealousy. He took care of Claire and Jamie in order to get them to suffer (each for their own crimes against him and Scotland). Dougal is developing a plot for marrying Claire and Jamie.

Discovering Randall is his great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-grandfather explains a lot about Frank.
Despite the fact that Claire is forced to marry a Highlander, Jamie Fraser, they rapidly grow to love each other. Despite the clan MacKenzie believing she’s a spy, they allow her to keep her position as a healer, which stops her from attempting to go back in time. Knowing that the Jacobite cause is hopeless, she tries to convey the message to the Jacobites not to rebel. When Randall abducted Jamie, tormented him, and raped him, Claire and his clansmen came to his rescue. During Claire’s pregnancy, they make a ship for France, where she intends to live the remainder of her life.
