Editor’s Picks
Walter Neff, an insurance salesman, returns to his workplace in Downtown Los Angeles on July 16, 1938, with a gunshot wound to his shoulder. He uses a dictaphone to record a confession for his friend and coworker, claims adjuster Barton Keyes. A memory occurs. But you shouldn’t waste any more time and start this Double Indemnity quiz. During a house visit to remind her husband to renew his automobile insurance policy in May 1937, Walter encounters the alluring Phyllis Dietrichson. They flirt until Phyllis inquires about purchasing an accident insurance policy for her husband without her husband’s awareness. Walter deduces that Phyllis is thinking about murder and, not wanting to be a part of it, quickly picks up his hat and departs. Later, Phyllis appears at Walter’s apartment and seduces him to kill her husband by claiming that he forgot his hat. The idea is to dupe Dietrichson into signing what he believes to be a renewal. The policy includes a double indemnity clause that provides twice as much for an accidental death caused by unusual circumstances.

Phyllis later takes her husband to the train station so he can attend his college reunion. Walter hides in the rear seat, murders him, and then boards the train as Mr. Dietrichson. Walter goes to the outdoor platform at the back of the train after it starts moving, presumably to smoke. He leaps off the train at a predetermined location to meet Phyllis and drag Dietrichson’s body onto the tracks. Also, you will find out which character are you in this Double Indemnity quiz. The company’s president, Norton, thinks the death was a suicide, but Keyes rejects this theory. However, he soon starts to have doubts about the legitimacy of the claim. While Phyllis hides behind the door, Keyes tells Walter his theory: she had an accomplice kill Dietrichson for the insurance money. He does not, however, have any evidence.

About the quiz

Lola, the victim’s daughter, informs Walter that she believes her stepmother Phyllis is responsible for her father’s death. Lola’s mother died in suspicious conditions as well, and Phyllis was her nurse. Realizing Phyllis has previously killed, Walter starts seeing Lola to prevent her from going to the police with her suspicions, and later to protect her from her stepmother. Walter worries Phyllis will murder Lola because of her suspicions, and because Dietrichson changed his will to benefit Lola, Phyllis will receive nothing. Also, you must try to play this Double Indemnity quiz. Keyes locates a witness who claims that the guy on the train was younger than the deceased. Walter cautions Phyllis that pursuing the insurance claim in court may result in the murder being revealed. He attempts to persuade her to keep quiet and let him try to persuade Norton to pay out the claim. Lola informs Walter that she has found Nino Zachette, her boyfriend, has been seeing Phyllis behind her back. Walter approaches Phyllis and informs her that he is aware of her and Zachette’s relationship. He suspects she means for Zachette to murder Lola and him, but informs her that he intends to murder her and frame Zachette. Phyllis shoots Walter in the shoulder but is unable to finish him off, recognizing for the first time in her life that she cares about someone else. Walter rejects Phyllis and murders her. He waits for Zachette and tells him not to go inside. He persuades him to contact Lola. Returning to the beginning of the film, Walter drives to the office and switches on the dictaphone. Keyes walks in unnoticed and discovers the reality. Walter informs him that he is escaping to Mexico, but then collapses. While waiting for the cops and an emergency, Keyes lights a cigarette for Walter.
