Opening words from Pan’s Labyrinth are among the most iconic in film history. From Pan, Ofelia’s guide and “most humble servant” throughout the film, we learn the story. Ofelia’s prior life as a Princess in an underworld kingdom is described at the introduction of Pan’s Labyrinth.

After Princess Moanna’s death was brought on by her fantasy of witnessing the human realm, she was later resurrected as a person named Ofelia, according to Pan’s narration.

The main opponent in Pan’s Labyrinth wasn’t a magical forest beast, as one might assume from a fantasy film. Instead, it was Captain Vidal (played by an egotistical human). Labyrinthe de Pan a lieu en 1944, dans un lieu rural anonyme, a proximité de Madrid.

About the quiz

“Pan’s Labyrinth” keeps its fairytale aspects vague enough that viewers can either believe it’s all true or that Ofelia simply escapes into her mind. It’s up to the Faun’s second duty, which involves using chalk to get access to a blind albino beast that eats children. One of Del Toro’s most recognizable characters, but what does it represent?

Director Guillermo del Toro directed this Spanish-Mexican fantasy film. Ofelia and her pregnant mother (Ariadna Gil) move to the property of Captain Vidal (Sergi López), a Falangist captain and Ofelia’s stepfather, in 1944 Spain. A faun (Doug Jones) tells Ofelia that she is the reincarnation of Princess Moanna. Which Pan’s Labyrinth character are you?

In the first chapter, Ofelia retrieves a key from a gigantic toad’s guts. Ofelia must rescue a dagger from the lair of a child-eating monster known as the Pale Man using the key. Ofelia is coping with a horrible reality while all of this is going on; her mother is ill during her pregnancy and dies after the birth of her son. And Vidal is hunting rebels and acting menacingly toward Ofelia.

She must also bring her infant brother with her inside the labyrinth. Asked to pour the blood of an innocent creature, she refuses. Vidal finds Ofelia, takes the infant, and shoots her, bringing the labyrinth into focus. Princess Moanna, uninjured and clean, emerges from the labyrinth at the heart of the labyrinth as Ofelia’s own blood falls into the center. Because she spilt her own blood rather than the blood of an innocent, the faun says, she passed the final test.
