Liv Rooney is the protagonist of the story — an actress who has recently returned to her motherland – Stevens Point, Wisconsin. She has been filming for four years in a popular TV program Sing It Loud and it was a wonderful success. Her parents, Karen and Pete, her brothers, Joey and Parker, and her twin sister Maddie is finally pleased to meet her.
Totally opposite is Maddie Rooney to her sister. Although her sister is girly and charming, Maddie is a superb sports-crazed tomboy. She is a local basketball team leader.
Joey is awkward, Parker is confident and intelligent, Karen works as a psychologist in the school (and vice-principal in season 2).
