In fact, the 2001 edition of Ocean’s Eleven was the first modern franchise of an original 1960 picture starring Frank Sinatra. Far from going straight, Ocean plans to steal a safe vault underneath Las Vegas, serving no less than three large casinos.

Ocean approached old acquaintance Rusty Ryan (Brad Pitt) to set up his bold scheme and, along with it, recruited another 9, especially capable crooks. The $150 million believed to be on the furrow is not only Ocean’s goal, but he wants to win back the tough casino CEO Terry Benedict’s ex-wife Tess (Julia Roberts) (Andy Garcia).

Ocean faces Benedict and tells him he can get cashback when he gives away Tess after an extravagant and successful event. Unknown to him, Tess observes him doing so. Benedict agrees. She leaves him and returns to Ocean furiously, leading to Benedict report the violation of his parole by Ocean to the police. He walks to prison for six months, knowing that when he gets out Tess awaits him, and with $150 million the rest of his team ride into the sunset.

Daniel Ocean, who always has been so charming is released from prison. He first violates his speech by seeing Rusty Ryan, his colleague in California. They are discussing the idea to rob the coffin that holds Danny’s wife’s lover Terry Benedict’s casino. The Bellagio, the Mirage, and the MGM Grand – from their casinos. It is probably the most ambitious and daring robbery Ocean has ever made. But the amount of 163 million dollars paid as a check guarantees the risk. Also, you will find out which Oceans 11 character are you in this quiz.

Although at first skeptical, Ruben accepts financing the project because his enemy is Benedict. Then the Danny and the Rusty group of experts. The cards retailer Frank Catton, the talented Mechanics manufacturer Virgil, the electronics specialist Livingston Dell, the munitions manufacturer Basher Tarr. The “amazing” Yen (an acrobat), the old conman Saul Bloom, Linus Caldwell Danny, and Rusty accumulate. The gang works together to develop a complicated scheme for a glorious payout, through the virtually impenetrable vault.

It has been reported that Danny’s crew gets infiltrated into the casino and escapes the S.W.A.T. Team. The white van that was noticed before is only throw away by the authorities. When the detective gets back on top, he finds that the steering is mechanically operated; nobody is in the automobile. Furthermore, an explosion exposes that only whores, not money, contain fliers.

About the quiz

Roberts: “A thief and a liar, you are.” Clooney: “I lied just like a thief.” R: “You no longer do that?” C: “Rock?” A: “Lying.” I remember the classical interactions between Bogart and Bacall so clearly. Also observe, when the Casino Boss sees the ex-husband in the dining room at Tess’ table, with Clooney, Roberts, and Garcia. Both men disdain each other, of course, but are so smooth and cool we only note it in the accuracy of their timing and wording choices, leading to the last exchange in which Danny, leaving the table, says Terry in a way that uses the first name with inappropriate acknowledgment and Territory answers “Danny” with the same note.

Brad Pitt also has a good conversation moment when he briefs the character of Matt Damon. The jargon is about tactics, but listen to the music instead of words and you understand that it is a riff of players’ instructions from Hamlet.

As film capers go, “Ocean’s Eleven” specifications are not necessarily state of the art. I can think of more cleverly carried out ideas, most recently in The Score. But this isn’t a film about suspense, but about smoothness. Clooney and Roberts purposefully mimic the elegant nest of performers such as Cary Grant and Ingrid Bergman while Garcia is slick, tidy, polished, and tailored to the likes of George Raft. I loved it. I loved it. It didn’t shake me up and I wasn’t very invested, but as a 5-finger workout, I loved it. Soderbergh now has to return to work.
