C.C. “Bud” Baxter is a lonely office drudge at a New York City insurance company. He permits four company executives to borrow his Upper West Side apartment, 51 West 67th Street, for extramarital affairs in order to advance up the corporate ladder. Baxter carefully manages his “booking” schedule, but the constant stream of women leads his neighbors to believe he is a playboy.
